I have been noticing that several waves of earthquakes have propagated from
kamchatka, indonesia, papua new guinea and then stopped at NZ. There have
even been several occasions where they have skipped over NZ but appeared in
antartica.
This is worrying because it suggests the faults are stuck there, and have
been for quite a while.
Its been quite a busy month for earthquakes too ...

According to my friend that toured the South Island, one could easily
survive a house collapse!. (duck)

Found this web site - and New Zealand does seem to have had some
earthquakes recently.
